College Level Exam Program (CLEP) TESTS

TU offers, and grants units for, the following computerized CLEP tests to Towson University degree seeking students. These tests are administered weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays by appointment only and are scored immediately.

Call 410-704-2471 to schedule a testing date.  Fees are listed below:

  • Testing Fee to Educational Testing Services       $70.00
  • Registration Fee to Towson University                  $40.00
  • Total to be paid by Credit Card Only                   $110.00
  • These charges will appear separately on credit card bill.
  • Students who pass the exam(s) will be assessed a fee of $30.00 per credit for the course(s) to be posted on the Towson University transcript.

NOTE: Students are not permitted to attempt a CLEP exam if an equivalent course was attempted at TU or earned as credit at another college or university.
